Overall responsibility for the welfare of Racehorses, broodmares, and young stock. Working with both flat and jump bred thoroughbreds.

Duties include but not limited to the following:-

Overall responsibility for day to day care and welfare of horses. Keeping accurate records of all aspects of the operation of the yard and farm. Management of riders and stable staff.

Drawing up, implementing and recording, suitable individual training programmes for race horses, including rehabilitation programmes, pre training regimes, and pre race training. Advising on appropriate race entries.

Ensuring a clean, safe, and secure farm and yard, with health, safety and animal welfare measures followed including up to date risk assessments. Ensuring that training facilities, (including horse walker and gallops) are used correctly and appropriately.

Previous experience as a registered racehorse trainer is desirable.
