Brooklands HealthCare’s origins date back to the early 1990’s, when it was established by the Conway family with the construction of its first Care Home.

The Company has developed over these years with both the acquisition and construction of additional care facilities and has now firmly established itself with a reputation for professionalism in all aspects of its care operations. Brooklands HealthCare works closely with all the Health Boards and Trusts throughout both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland – to provide a range of quality care services for people who are elderly and frail or mentally infirmed. In addition, Brooklands specialises in dedicated services for respite care, terminal and palliative care as well as care for younger persons suffering from chronic conditions.

Under the Brooklands HealthCare Group umbrella, the Specialised Services Division has developed units catering for high dependency conditions, such as mental health, physical and neurodisabilities, and brain injury rehabilitation. The reputation of this division is well established and growing in these important fields.

Future Trends

Brooklands is a progressive HealthCare company. It currently has plans for the future development of progressive primary care services – such as HealthCare Villages, and ‘supported’ residential accommodation for people with physical and mental disabilities. The company is constantly reviewing policy and developments to identify where it can best meet gaps in health care provision, with opportunities for new services developments. For example, Brooklands is currently exploring the ‘HealthCare Village’ concept, using proven models already adapted in the United States. It is planning to initiate this HealthCare Village model in Malahide – a pleasant, coastal suburb on the North side of Dublin.
