Owners of the Spar store and forecourt, Merit Retail decided that the store needed a new look, and invested in the Spar millennium store package.
Spar Moneymore now offers customers an extended range of grocery products, dairy products, fresh and frozen produce. The food-to-go counter and new butchery counter were added – and now play a major part in the fresh food range.

Spar Moneymore is situated approximately four miles from the nearest town – Magherafelt - therefore it caters for both the needs of the local population as well as the passing trade from a busy main road.

Facilities include an ATM, ample parking facilities, pump attendant, baby trolleys, disabled access and support.

Forecourt facilities include public toilets, attended car wash, vacuum and valet service, airline and other items such as emergency home heating oil, coal, gas, garden furniture and DIY products.In-store services vary from lottery, video hire, pay point, butchery, food-to-go, whipped and scooped ice-cream and an extensive range of fresh food areas.

Training

Spar Moneymore management has an ongoing in house training programme. Twelve staff members have just passed their NVQ level one in long life learning in convenience retailing.
